Laryngeal mask airway (LMA)
Advantages :
- No laryngoscopy or muscle relaxation required
- Easy to insert
BUT
Does not prevent aspiration of gastric contents.
FAST TRAC / Intubating LMA -- for difficult intubation.
Pro-Seal LMA -- provides Controlled Ventilation. ( Therefore used in elective ventilation. )
