Droperidol :
- Dopamine antagonist
- Sedative and powerful antiemetic.
- Mild alpha block
- Does not reduce cerebral O2 demand.
- Contraindicated in Pheochromocytoma.
In combination with Fentanyl
Known As - Neurolept Analgesia (INOVAR)
Used in ratio of 50:1 (i.e 2.5mg Droperidol & 50microgram Fentanyl)
NeuroleptAnalgesia + N2O = NeuroleptAnaesthesia.
